Welcome to LinMot Linear Motors
Linear Motion Manufacturing and Design
LinMot manufactures a complete line of Linear Motors, Guided Actuators, Servo Controllers, and MagSpring constant force springs. LinMot motors provide extremely high speed, long life, complete controllability, very long strokes and peak forces to 230 pounds, all at a moderate cost.
Experience the LinMot Linear Motor Advantage
LinMot linear motors and linear actuators are electromagnetic devices using two components, a stator and a slider, to create linear motion without the use of screws, gears or belts. This means longer life (up to 2 billion cycles), far less maintenance and high reliability for use in your applications. Designed for use in rugged environments including wash down applications, these motors are widely used in food packaging equipment, material handling systems, automated assembly machines and many applications within the health care industry. Because the form factor of LinMot motors is similar to that of pneumatic cylinders, they are often used as a replacement when higher speed, longer life and more controllability are desired.
LinMot Linear Motor Technology
LinMot linear motors are permanently actuated synchronous servo motors with integrated position measurement and overload protection. Electromagnetic force provides direct linear movement without the use of cams, gears, belts, or other mechanical devices. The motor consists of only two parts: the slider and the stator. The slider is a precision assembly that consists of a stainless steel tube, which is filled with neodymium magnets and has threaded attachment holes on each end. The stator, consists of field windings, the bearing for the slider, position sensors and a microprocessor board. All LinMot motors are designed for use in harsh industrial environments. Linear Guides
LinMot linear guides are compact guide units with integrated ball bearings or plain bushings, used to counter the effects of side-loading in horizontal applications and as an anti-rotational device in vertical applications. LinMot linear guides deliver high precision guidance and allow dynamic and precise positioning of the load. The modular design allows for simple additions of accessories, such as a pneumatic break or a MagSpring, which is used for load balancing in vertical applications. Linear Guide Specs
Servo Controllers
LinMot linear motors, together with the associated servo controllers deliver an optimal drive system for linear positioning tasks. LinMot servo controllers feature a wide range of fieldbus interfaces and protocols allowing for simple integration in any controls concept. LinMot servo controllers feature an intelligent control element with integrated position regulation to perform all drive-related control and monitoring functions. Servo Controller Specs
MagSprings

LinMot MagSprings are best described as magnetic springs. MagSprings generate a constant force over their entire working range. This generation of force that is independent of the stroke makes MagSprings preferable for the balancing weight forces in vertical drive applications. LinMot MagSprings are totally passive. Their operation is based entirely on a unique application of permanent magnets, meaning no electricity at all. MagSpring Specs
